1911年10月辛亥革命爆发,12月四川成立大汉四川军政府,四川军政府接管了设在成都的四川造币分厂。为满足军需和保路运动的需要,废除了前清龙模银铜币,新创四川银、铜币模型,于1912年起,由四川造币厂正式开铸四川军政府“汉”字银、铜元。此币包浆自然,保存完整,设计别致,寓意深远,其反映了我国近代历史、经济、金融的兴衰和沧桑,是一枚具有很高收藏价值的精品铜元。
此币为军政府造四川铜币当制钱一百文,铜币正面中央珠圈内有“四川铜币”四字,上下左右分列,其中心饰有芙蓉花纹。珠圈上缘书“军政府造”四字,下缘为“当制钱壹百文”字样,标明币值,左右饰以花星纹饰。铜币背面上缘“中华民国二年”,中央大圆圈内为一篆书“汉”字,“汉”字底有数十条横直纹,因而钱币收藏者也称之为“汉”字铜元。“汉”字圆圈外还环绕有18个小圆圈,代表当时的十八个省份。
In October 1911 the 1911 Revolution broke out. In December Sichuan established a military government of the Han Dynasty. The military government of Sichuan took over the Sichuan Mint in Chengdu. In order to meet the needs of the military and the road protection movement the silver and copper coins of the former Qing Dynasty Dragon Mould were abolished and the silver and copper coin models of Sichuan Province were created. From 1912 the Sichuan Mint officially opened the silver and copper coins of the "Han" character of the Sichuan Military Government. This coin is natural well-preserved unique and far-reaching.
