陨石

长久以来，被称作“天外来石”的陨石因极高的科研价值一直受到众多天文学家和地质学家的热捧。如今，陨石收藏热席卷全球，能够收藏陨石成了就收藏家身份地位的象征。全世界的陨石可分为石铁陨石、石陨石和铁陨石三种。
铁陨石iron meteorite，主要由铁纹石和镍纹石两种矿物组成。铁陨石和铁矿石其实很简单，那就是用排除法，只要排除了铁矿石和人工产物的可能，结果必然是铁陨石‘。铁矿石很容易分辨，自然界中所有的铁矿石都不含单质铁，成分都是铁的多价氧化物或者硫化物等。
在上海举办的“保真保值保回购———国石珍宝交易会上，一块从俄罗斯征集得来的重23KG号称“石铁陨石”引发买家逐鹿，最终一位来自香港的40多岁的投资兼收藏家以1.62亿元的价格收入囊中，此事引发了当时陨石界的地震。
